The blaze on busy King Street, in Newtown, began at 9.00pm this evening.
Six fire stations responded to the incident, with over 30 firefighters at the scene, working to bring a fire in a two-storey building under control.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman said a front wall of the building collapsed, and patrons of nearby restaurants were evacuated.
No one was injured in the blaze, which destroyed the Hallmark Linen Services business at 400 King Street, Newtown.
